These and other questions are addressed in the new episode of our video series “The Mercedes-Benz Art Talk.” Today’s guest is Pascal Thiel, an employee in product communications at Mercedes-Benz and spokesperson for the company network Queers & Friends. He talks with Dr Anne Vieth, Head of the Mercedes-Benz Art Collection, about equal opportunities in the art world as well as in the workplace, and about how art can create spaces for everyone. Along the works of artist Nathalie Du Pasquier from the current “Now on View” exhibition, they illustrate why art is more than just decoration – it is a catalyst for thought-provoking ideas and creativity.

In our video format, you will get to know the Mercedes-Benz Art Collection and the world of art through inspiring conversations – concise, lively, and with a personal touch. Host Dr Anne Vieth invites intriguing guests to the Mercedes-Benz Museum, where the art collection has been showcasing works from its portfolio in changing exhibitions under the title “Now on View” since March 2024. Together, they discuss the power of art and the guest’s favourite artwork from the current collection presentation. Discover the guests’ professional or personal connections to art, the inspiration they draw from it in their daily lives, and what fascinates them about their favourite artwork in six episodes that we will gradually publish here. The Exhibition “Now on View. Works from the Mercedes-Benz Art Collection in the Mercedes-Benz Museum”
You can visit the current “Now on View” exhibition at the Mercedes-Benz Museum until October 5, 2025. Discover around 30 fascinating paintings, sculptures, textile objects, installations, and a video from the 1980s to the present day: Renowned artists like Sylvie Fleury and Andy Warhol, as well as contemporary artists such as Kai Fischer, Claudia Wieser, and Sung Tieu, explore themes including the influence of iconic brands on society, the convergence of art and design, the validity of systems of order and measurement, and the developments in abstract art.
