“The sculptures from the series Teknopodes and Elektromanile emanate from two symbiotic groups of works. Together they resemble a pack of animals questioning the origins of places of social exchange. Uprightly the major, black Teknopodes tower into the human sphere. Expectant, observant or immersed in themselves they span the space like totems. […] In fact, all Teknopodes bear danger and allure. One can never be sure, if they are establishing contact or if they, by means of deceitful baits, are ambushing the viewer. The Teknopodes are accompanied by white Elektromaniles whose name hearkens back to medieval vessels of water. Storage cells in themselves, they are electrified, while at the same time as allocators or energy distributors they electrify the Teknopodes.” (Madeleine Boschan)
